Brass is a metal alloy of copper and zinc and a great eco-friendly jewelry option, as it can be recycled infinitely without compromising its quality. Today almost 90% of all brass in the world is recycled—our artisan team in Kenya uses materials acquired from local markets and vendors to create many of our designs. Brass does develop a patina over time with wear, but can always be brought back to life with polishing, making it a significantly more sustainable choice than gold-plated jewelry.
